Wonders upon wonders, I've found another review for Stranger by Night, this time over at DIY Games. Mostly, positive, the reviewer describes the game as having an 'extremely atmospheric title with superb presentation and writing', as well as having 'very good graphics and puzzles that are beyond the scope of regular AGS games' and 'excellent cutscenes [that] add to the already great mood'. AdventureGamers.com has a review of Stranger By Night which I have just discovered. They have called the game 'genuinely spooky and atmospheric, never allowing itself to drift into cuteness or humor and maintaining a strong, serious tone in the writing, which shows great attention to detail and a good narrator's instinct', with 'obvious potential ... for a great horror game'.
