Katrina Rose is a reporter for the New York Times. Her latest work is a series of articles and reports on a serial killer known only as "The Stranger". One night, she receives a tip from a woman name Amber - someone who says she may have vital information about the identity of the murderer. Eager to follow up on her story, Katrina heads over to Amber's house.

Once there, Katrina finds out that she has just been thrown into a deadly game of cat and mouse, with none other than the Stranger himself. Locked in the house with no apparent way out, Katrina must fight to make it through the night.
